This workshop will utilize Foundation Directory Online Professional, a searchable database of foundations and corporate giving programs. Attendees will learn to research a prospect’s funding guidelines & priorities, search for specific types of grants and determine what and how much to ask for.

Are you aware of all the institutional funders who might support your work? Do you know the right amount to request? What do you need to know before you put pen to paper?

This workshop will explore best practices in foundation prospect research utilizing Foundation Directory Online Professional, a searchable database of foundations and corporate giving programs. Topics will include how to research a prospect’s funding guidelines & priorities, searching for specific types of grants and determining for what and how much to ask for. The session will include hands-on experience using the database.

This session will be held in partnership with the Thousand Oaks Public Library which provides free access to Foundation Directory Online Professional. Attendees will be asked to have a current library card.
