Description

Do you identify as an intermediate or advanced development professional? Join the Center for Nonprofit Leadership for Fast Pitch: Playin’ with the Big Leagues for a fun and inspiring space to refine your pitch for major donors. Self-identified Intermediate and advanced development professionals will have the opportunity to define and practice the most important components of the major donor ask. This workshop aims to build community among development professionals by creating a safe space for working through the challenges we all encounter in our major donor work, and by creating an opportunity for shared strategic thinking and collegiate inspiration. This two-part workshop culminates with a pitching panel featuring local major donors who are interested in supporting local nonprofits that are doing good work.

Registrants for this two part series will be involved in the materials created for the workshop sessions. For the best experience, please register to attend by April 6th, 5:00PM PST!

Two Part Series:

Part I: Playing with the Big Leagues (April 13, 10AM-12PM)

Self-identified Intermediate and advanced development professionals will have the opportunity to define and practice the most important components of the major donor ask. This workshop aims to build community among development professionals by creating a safe space for working through the challenges we all encounter in our major donor work, and by creating an opportunity for shared strategic thinking and collegiate inspiration.

Part II: Aiming for the Home Run (April 20, 10AM-12PM)

Take what you’ve learned and practiced with your colleagues and let your skills shine through as you practice your major donor ask in front of a panel of real local donors. These donors will learn more about the wonderful work being done in the local community and provide feedback about the strengths in your pitch and opportunities for improvement.
